Merry Merry Christmas To You!!!

I know I am three days late but still I want to wish you "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays"! Here is a card I made almost a month ago and honestly this year I suck at making Christmas cards. I was so behind in everything! Next year, I hope to have a better planning system and make sure that I stick with it. You know me and discipline doesn't always get along well :)

So how did you celebrate your Chirstmas? As for me, besides getting sick on Christmas Eve.....it had been a simple and quiet celebration for us. On Christmas Eve, I brought Abby to Straits Quay for dinner and we went for a walk around the court after that. In the middle of the court, stood a huge Christmas tree decorated with gold ornaments and lights. It was such a beautiful sight and Abby seemed to enjoy it. Before we left the place, I had to snap a picture of us. Too bad this baby look dazed in the picture....it's seems hard to get a perfect picture of her these days. Oh well.

Oh, I had a spa date with my bestie on Christmas eve too. It was fun and we both had a good laugh when we had to share a bath tub together.....lol. Before heading to the jacuzzi pool, we managed to sneak a picture donning the sarong...lol.

Thanks for stopping by! Great weekend ahead, peeps!

Jillibean Soup: Be Silly Be Honest Be Kind

Hello everyone!

I have a layout on Jillibean Soup blog yesterday and I am going to share it here with you. This cute and handsome boy is my nephew (from my husband's side) and I think this is the very first time I featured him here. His name is Aidan and is four this year. He is pretty close to us and is my husband's favorite nephew. When my husband is around, he will stick to him like a glue....lol. So when Jill challenged us to include a quote or two on our assignment, I quickly searched through Pinterest and found one that's truly described Aidan. "Be Silly, Be Honest, Be Kind". That's pretty much sums up his personality and this it's the reason why we adore him so much.

Christmas is sneaking up on us and I haven't even started my shopping yet! Gosh! So today's mission is to at least accomplish half of the shopping list....(fingers cross). Wish me luck? Lol.

Jillibean Soup: Holiday Blessing Card ♥

Hello everyone! Five more days to go before Christmas and are you ready for the holiday season? Presents wrap? Cards sent? If you answered no to all these questions then, my friend, you are not alone :)

I just love the colors from the Winter Tortellini collection by Jillibean Soup. I always love to create Christmas cards using non traditional colors especially blue and pink. When I saw the letter stickers, I immediately knew what to do with them and it was fun! If you have a lot of unused stickers and looking for a better way to use them, how about stick them on your card like you would with patterned paper. Before I go, do make sure you check out the Jillibean Soup blog for all the Christmas inspired projects that the DT had designed. They were awesome!

Jillibean Soup: Christmas Blessing

Happy Friday! It's almost 8pm and I am still in the office writing this post. What? Thanks but no thanks to the work that came pouring in at the last minute. Sigh. I almost worked my eyes out and  needed some outlet to de-stress, so I thought I would come here to share a layout made for Jillibean Soup. This photo was taken last year's Christmas when I was pregnant with little Abby. Okay, need to get back to work. Meanwhile, do visit the Jillibean Soup blog for more inspiration.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Jillibean Soup: Love The Little Things

This layout was up on the Jillibean Soup blog last week and I am sorry for posting this late! Little Abby was only 6 months old when we went for our first swim back in July. She did not show any fear for water when I dip her in the pool and she was having fun while mommy stood proud watching her from a close distance :)

Before I started this layout, I envisioned the row of sewn banners on my layout and the Grandma's Lima Bean Soup paper is just perfect. The circles on the paper make my creative process so much easier and you could do the same if you have a circle punch. Simply punch out the circles and sew them together to form a banner. Easy peasy :)

Please stop by the Jillibean Soup blog for your daily dose of inspiration!

Little Abby is 10 Months Old ♥

Our little Abby had just turned 10 months old! I was too occupied with work and craft fair for the past two months that I lost track of time and my little baby has grown so much! She made me feel great about being a mom and despite her crankiness (usually at night), I love my baby to bits. I have always enjoyed being with her and so grateful to have her in my life.

Jillibean Soup: Happy Birthday Card

Hello everyone! I have been busy busy busy preparing for our second craft fair that is happening on this weekend. Though the stress level is not as high as the first, but the amount of work put into preparing for the fair is equally same. Meanwhile, I look forward to meet more new people and manning the stall with Josie again ♥

Today I have a card up on Jillibean Soup blog using the Grandma's Lima Bean Soup and Soup Staples II paper. I love the versatility of the Soup Staples II paper because its polka dots and chevron pattern seems to work well with any paper. I've choose to create a masculine card because I find that the dude is often being left out when it comes to cardmaking, don't you agree? Speech bubble has becoming a fast trend in paper crafting world and thought it would be perfect to incorporate this trend into my card.

That's all I have for today and don't forget to visit Jillibean Soup blog for more card ideas. Warning: you are going to be heavily inspire by the DT...lol :)

Layout For My DT Assignment ♥

Lately, work has taken up most part of my life and it seems hard to find the time to sit down and create. Not to mention I have a fussy 10 month old baby to take care of. Ramblings aside. Today I have two layouts to share (sorry that I have to squeezed two layouts in one post). The first one was for Scrappin Studio using the Studio Calico November kit. This month's kit is one of my favorite by far and it is not surprised that it was all sold out...including the add-ons! Here I used mostly Dear Lizzy 5th Frolic collection.

Next up is a layout for Jillibean Soup. Please head on over to the blog for more inspration by the DT. The complete list of supplies are also mentioned there. This photo of my daughter was taken by Josie after her first swim date with Lucas (Josie's son). Looking at this photo reminded me of how fast time flies. Abby has grown so much now and I can't believe this feisty baby will turn one year old soon. As I always said, my baby is not so baby anymore....lol.

I hope you enjoy your day! Wish me luck in surviving yet another battlefield at work.

First Jillibean Soup Project ♥

My first Jillibean Soup project is up on the blog. Please head on over there to check out the fabulous cards created by the rest oft the Design Team. A very simple card using some of my favorite elements such butterfly and banner.

This card was featured on the Jillibean Soup last week as part of the DT introduction. I created the background by cutting patterned paper into strips, then randomly weaved and sewed them together.  I seem to have a thing for weaved background as this is the third project I've made with this pattern. More to follow :)

Hello! Street Market ♥

A quick update to tell you that I'm still alive despite the crazy schedule in October. The street market has ended on last Sunday and I must say that the effort poured into it was totally worthwhile. It was beyond our expectation and we were thankful for those who came and supported us. I want to especially thank Sharon for helping us during the peak hours. All in all, it was a great exposure for both me and Josie and we are looking forward to another craft market in December. Meanwhile, here's a photo of our booth courtesy of Josie. Enjoy!

Elves At Work ♥

Busy! Tiring! Overwhelming! Perfect words to describe my current state of mind. With the street market drawing near, we are working really hard to get our stuff done. Dark eye circles are started to form under my eye too. We pray and hope that the effort we put in to the street market will pay off.

In between all the busyness, I made a layout for Scrappin Studio blog using the Central High and Style Guide kit by Studio Calico. I admit that I was kinda lost when I started this layout. At first I wasn't really keen on working with the red and yellow letter stickers by Amy Tangerine. And there's this hexagon chipboard which I had no clue on what to do either. I sat down and stare at them for a good 15 minutes before deciding to just go ahead and use them on my layout. Surprisingly I love how it turned out and glad that I step out of my comfort zone for a little while. Then I made a careless mistake by placing the ink cover right on top of the paper. So needless to say, I was left with an ugly patch of black ink right in front of me. I was devastated and when I finally get to calm myself down, I found a solution. The splatter of black mist was a result of my carelessness ♥ So next time if you happen to encounter the same mistake as mine (touch wood), grab a bottle of your favorite mist and rescue your project.

Cardpuccino And A Giveaway ♥

I think most of you have known by now that I've recently started an online store with my bestie, Josie and we named it Cardpuccino. We came up with a few names but unfortunately most of them were taken and we even had a good laugh when either one of us made up some funny names. I don't remembered clearly but I think it was Josie who suggested Cardpuccino. The name came about because she said that I love coffee and it was catchy enough for people to remember :) And like they said, the rest is history. Cardpuccino is mainly selling washi tape, handmade cards, mini album and card kits. If you don't already know, we are giving away washi tape and all you need to do is to like Cardpuccino Facebook page. We will randomly draw two winners tonight at 10pm. Come and join in the fun. We ship everywhere!

On another note, we are pretty excited to participate in our first ever craft market in October. Looking forward to meet other vendors and Cardpuccino customers ♥

Hello October ♥

Hello October - you've come to soon and I am not sure if I am ready to welcome you. Too many happenings this month and I have never been as crazily busy as I am right now. But I am crazily excited all the same time. I was super stoked when I received an email from Lisa Truesdell asking if I would be interested to create a card for Studio Calico blog in conjunction with WCMD. Of course I said yes! My challenge was to create a card in 15 minutes or less and you can see the post here. I used a lot of MME The Sweetest Thing collection here ♥

We've Been Washified.....

I love washi tape so much so that we (me and my best bud, Josie) decided to bring them in to our new store. They've just arrived and I must say that we've both been washified (yes, I made up that word....lol) by staring at them for too long. We just can't help it! ♥

A full reveal will happen some time next week and if you are interested to get your hands on one of these tape, go here for more info.

Coffee Addict

I made this layout for Scrappin Studio blog using Studio Calico September kit. Although the design is super simple but somehow I like it. Less is more? Lol. You can check it out here. Sorry lovelies, I have to go....a fussy baby is calling me :)

xoxo

I Made It!

I literally jumped off my chair when I saw the email that I made it to the Jillibean Soup DT! WOOT!! I am honored to be alongside the talented ladies in the team and excited to see some of my friends on the list too! They made the announcement yesterday and you can check it here. I am looking forward to work with Jill, Kimber and the team!

Cards For Scrappin Studio

I have two cards to share today. Both are made for Scrappin Studio blog using the Studio Calico September kit called Central High and add-on 1 called Style Guide. If you are interested in any of the kit, please visit Scrappin Studio store.

Honestly I love most of the pattern paper in this month's kit. Some are just too beautiful that I feel like hoarding them. Can I? Both cards are a bit different from each other to reflect how a simple use of pattern paper can create completely two different styles.

Do come back for more Scrappin Studio projects!

First Solid

A page I did using mostly October Afternoon. I have been a fan of October Afternoon for a while and their products are so fun and easy to work with. Not to mention that their colors are sweet too. Looking at this photo of my daughter makes me forget of my stress for a while. This week I started  out badly, particularly today. I placed an order with Two Peas and I was so blur that I paid twice for the same items. I have email them about cancelling one of the order and I am anxiously waiting for their reply. I pray and hope that they will refund me otherwise what would I do with the same items?? Arrghhh.....! I hope the rest of my week will end in a nice way. Fingers cross.

Introducing Abby Layout

Last week I managed to steal some "me" time to create with my newly bought Little Bo Peep goodies by Crate Paper. What I love most about this collection is the soft colors and cute designs. If you followed me long enough, you will know that I love to work with soft palette and this collection is so "me". I was in a hurry and didn't get as many paper as I should and kinda regret it.

I created the weaved background based upon this card that was published back in 2010. It was my first publication with Cards magazine and it was such a big deal for me back then. It is still a big deal for me now. Anyway, I keep my overall design simple and play with colors just a bit. I used turquoise brad, brown letters and yellow sticker to contrast with the soft background.

Close up of the weaved background.......

Love the paper flower from the collection....so easy to use....not to mention quick too.

And just like that....

.....she is seven months!

Her hair starting to grow
She can crawl and sit on her own
She still loves to bite especially her car seat strap, stroller strap, rocker strap....makes want to go out and buy a strap just for her to bite...lol
She loves her rice porridge
She still loves to smile and always so happy
She is learning to wave good bye
She is talkative and very loud
She is very active and energetic
She is not afraid of strangers (but her mama does)

That's my baby at seven months

Hello

I only realized that this card that I made for Scrappin Studio was not posted on my blog yet. Super forgetful I am! My memory has gone from bad to worst since I gave birth to Abby earlier this year. There were a couple of times where I completely forgotten about turning off the stove or where I put my car key.  Sometimes I even forget what I had for lunch. Bad right? I know.

Becoming A Parent ♥

I am always the kind of person who seek inspiration in colors and when I saw these beautiful paper by MME, I fall head over heel in ♥ with them! They were from the Nostalgia collection. Then I visited Smidapaper over the weekend and when Sheila showed me the Sweetest Thing collection, I almost faint! I was beaming with excitement and almost wanted to buy everything on the table. I did a reality check and managed to control myself a bit. Yeah, just a bit....lol. Without wasting any time, I put myself to work and this is what I came up with.

Love You More ♥

This page came together pretty quickly and I am pleased with the result. The faux stitched heart was a tad different from what I had imagined in my head but still I love it. I have been hoarding the patterned paper by Crate Paper for a while now and decided it was time to put it in good use. and more staple on my page. Call me the staple girl....lol!

Splish Splash Time

Just last month, Abby had her first dip in the pool together with Josie and her adorable baby boy, Lucas. These two cuties were born just a day apart from each other and they are six months already. Time flies! And they even wear a matching swimsuit. Cuteness overloaded :)

Lullaby

This page was created for Scrappin Studio using the Studio Calico July kit and it's my last project for the month of July. My next assignment would be in September. If you ever noticed, I love to add faux stitch to both my cards and scrapbook page. Of course the main reason is I don't have a sewing machine so the next available and reliable tool to go for would be my tracing wheel. I also created a very short tutorial for Scrappin Studio blog and thought I will share it here with you today.

All you need is a tracing wheel which you can get from a sewing store and an ink of your choice. I usually use either black or dark brown. Am too chicken to try other colors.....

First, ink your wheel a couple times on your ink pad......

Next, roll your tracing wheel onto your project. It could be on anything. Letter stickers (as shown below), borders, etc........

Voila, faux stitch in under one minute ♥

She is 6 months old

She is getting feisty
She smiles a lot
She cries a lot too
She started solid and is doing well so far
She can't fit in some of her clothes
She has more hair now
She still grabs at everything and anything
She talks a lot
She almost roll out of the bed once
She can sit momentarily without support
She shows sign of wanting to crawl

That's my baby at six months

Design for Scrappin Studio

A few weeks ago, I received an email from Jaime, the owner of Scrappin Studio asking if I would be interested to be in her design team. To say I was thrill is an understatement! If you don't already know, Scrappin Studio is a local online store that sells Studio Calico's monthly kit. Yep, you heard me alright. Studio Calico monthly kit sold locally :) Now you know how crazily in love I am with Studio Calico kits and to get to work with the kits for three months is absolutely a dream come true :) My term starts this month and I get to play with Elmwood Park (main kit) and Four Square (add-on kit). This is my first page of the month....

This page was created with combination of both kits but mostly the main kit. Currently, I have this thing for negative die cuts/punch outs and if you noticed, I add them almost on every of my recent projects. They are what I considered trendy right now. Too bad I don't own a cameo....otherwise I would die cut anything and everything to fill my page.....no kidding :) I cut five pieces of paper in random sizes and punch little hearts through them. Love! ♥ I am working on my second page right now and will share it here soon.

Meanwhile, do check out Scrappin Studio store here and their blog here.

Thinking Of You ♥

nothing much to share today except for a card I made a while ago
♥ playing with washi tape again...and yes I have a serious washi tape addiction....I don't see myself ever recover, at least not so soon :)
♥ staples can be a great accent on any project...at least for me. I know people who don't craft find it weird that I add staples on my card.
♥ the only tool that I make full use of is my tracing wheel
♥ I have some happy news to share soon :)

Enjoy ♥

Two post in a day! Come on....I deserves a pat on the back, don't I? I made this card weeks ago and was supposed to blog about it but completely forgotten. So here it is.

everything on this card is my favorite....washi tape, butterfly, flair badge, jute twine, staples, arrows  and of course beautiful paper by Studio Calico
 I love graphics.....I really do
I love Studio Calico.....I really, really do
I love washi tape.....I really, really, really do....lol
looking at this card, I realized my style has evolved yet

again....as I said, I love graphics and  this style truly speaks to me right now.....what you think?
and it explains why I love Studio Calico so much

xoxo
